2026 LETR Truck Convoy Gains New Momentum

Special Olympics Arkansas hosted its annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Arkansas Truck Convoy®, a statewide celebration of the trucking industry and its commitment to inclusion, raising $59,000 to support year‑round programming for more than 19,500 athletes across Arkansas. The event has raised more than $500,000 since it began in 2005. This year’s event marked a milestone moment with FedEx Freight announced as the new Presenting Partner of the Truck Convoy for Special Olympics Arkansas.

Led by Arkansas Highway Police and supported by the Arkansas Trucking Association, the convoy brought together 152 trucks and 16 companies from across the state, all driving in unity to champion Special Olympics Arkansas athletes.

The event kicked off with a high‑energy welcome speech from Athlete Impact Speaker Noah Clay, whose message underscored the heart of the movement: inclusion, opportunity, and the power of sport.

A highlight of the day came when FedEx Freight announced their commitment as Presenting Partner, a transformational investment that will elevate the convoy’s reach and impact statewide. Meghan Beasy of FedEx Freight addressed the crowd, sharing the company’s pride in supporting Special Olympics Arkansas and the athletes who inspire communities across the state.

The celebration continued with Driver & Company Recognition, where each participating company was honored and presented a medal by Special Olympics Arkansas athletes.

The event concluded with a spirited Live Auction, featuring the coveted Driver Flag and Athlete Flag. The winner of both flags was Maverick Transportation paying more $10,000 to secure the flags. Funds raised directly support Special Olympics Arkansas programs including sports training, competitions, health screenings, leadership development, and inclusive community initiatives.
