Due to the continuous decrease in Covid-19 cases and the guidance from the Arkansas Department of Health we have made the decision to remove the mandatory requirements for SO Ready protocol. We, encourage always keeping safety of our athletes and SOAR community as a top priority. We recommend that you be vigilant in handwashing and other safety measures. Quarantine policy will remain in effect: If you have been Exposed to Covid-19 – you may not attend an event for 5 days. If after 5 days you have no symptoms you may attend events. If you are not sure if you have symptoms you may provide a negative test after 5 days. If you have symptoms or a positive test for Covid-19 – you may not attend a Special Olympics Arkansas event for 10 days from onset of symptoms. If you are unsure at any point we recommend getting tested. The no overnights policy will remain in effect until further notice. Please remember it is always a possibility we will have to revisit and reuse the SO Ready Protocol going forward. Where necessary please also remind those high risk individuals to make decisions that are best for them. If at any time you are in need of resources or education material about Covid-19 and safety protocols please reach out to Jennifer Avery or Camie Powell |
