The age division of the athlete is determined by the date of competition.... ie, an athlete's age group (division) is determined by the athlete's age on the Opening date of Summer Games (or all competitions). Thus, if you have an athlete that has birthday in between Area Games and Summer Games and his/her age division changes, he/she will compete in the new age division.
