What is Polar Plunge?
The Polar Plunge is the largest multi-event fundraiser for Special Olympics Arkansas raising over $200,000 each year. All funds raised by Plungers help Special Olympics Arkansas provide year-round sports, health, and leadership opportunities to thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities across the state.
The Polar Plunge is presented by the Law Enforcement Torch Run, a movement of volunteers dedicated to increasing awareness and funds for Special Olympics Arkansas athletes across the state.

What are the fundraising rewards?
When do I receive my fundraising rewards?
If you are participating in an in-person Plunge, you will receive your fundraising rewards upon check-in at the event. Rewards earned are based on the amount of money raised at the time of check-in.

How does it work?
- Step 1: Register
- Visit https://www.specialolympicsarkansas.org/polar-plunge.html to register for one of the 19 plunges around the state!
- Step 2: Fundraise
- Fundraising is required to participate in the Polar Plunge, but the minimum of $50 makes a big-time impact—especially at times when we need it most!
- Step 3: Plunge!
- When you arrive at your Plunge, make your first stop at the registration table to sign your waiver, turn in any donations, and receive your fundraising rewards.
- Step 4: Bask in your generous glory!
- Special Olympics Arkansas would not be able to serve individuals with intellectual disabilities without you!
What should I bring?
- Towel. To dry off and warm up with!
- Old or waterproof shoes. All Plungers must wear shoes at all times.
- Plastic bag. To transport your wet clothes.
- Dry change of clothes. Don’t forget a dry pair of underwear!
- Another Plunger! Recruit a friend, family member, coworker (whoever!) to take the Plunge with you!
What are the fundraising rewards?
- $50 minimum donation: 2026 Polar Plunge T-shirt
- $250-$499: 2026 Polar Plunge T-shirt, Plunge Towel, & 3 Raffle Tickets
- $500-$4749: 2026 Polar Plunge T-shirt, Plunge Towel, & 7 Raffle Tickets
- $750-$999: 2026 Polar Plunge T-shirt, Plunge Towel, & 10 Raffle Tickets
- $1000-$1499: 2026 Polar Plunge T-shirt, Plunge Towel, & 15 Raffle Tickets
- $1500+: 2026 Polar Plunge T-shirt, Plunge Towel, & 25 Raffle Tickets
- Each raffle ticket enters you in a chance to win CASH! Each plunge will have an instant $250 winner! All other raffle tickets are entered in a drawing at the end of plunge season to win up to $1,500!
